Now that my band life has come to a close, its time to make a little tribute.
Sec One 2003 I could still remember how I hated band so much and was so terribly disappointed when I got into band instead of my first choice. And the seniors didn't make my life in band any better, except for the sec 2s, our dear seniors.=D In fact, it was one of the worst time of my life.It was so agonizing because I couldn't read a single note and while most of the squad were happily playing some nursery rhymes, I was counting the lines in the score. I am sure most of us will still remember our dear drum major that year--the one who called us "idiots" and "retards" and made us so fearful of seniors. And being bullied and terrorised by some seniors into being their "slaves". :( But there was still the good times, such as drills and our dearest SCs--shumin and xintian. =D
Sec Two 2004 This must had been the craziest year of my life, going for self-pracs every friday with phyllinda, huishian, natsun, vanessa, shumin, jingwen, jiaying and yanzhu along with some other seniors, wrecking havoc in the band room. And the surprise birthday parties for some of our squadmates and section seniors, namely the blues. We literally turned the 2-day a week band prac into thrice a week! Thinking back now, I still can't believe that we were that crazy about band that year, even going back almost everyday during the june and december holidays to practise and hang around and troubling shueli to open the door for us,especially considering how I hated band in sec one.
Sec Three 2005 We still continued going for self pracs everyday, despite the heavy pile of homework. I suppose it was more out of a habit than anything. Moreover, it was our only SYF year and we just assured ourselves that we were not neglecting our studies for nothing, even though the number of self-practers dwindled. :/ Sec 3 life in band brought me through the most number of emotional turmoils, from stark depression to tears of pure joy, especially when we got the long-awaited gold in the SYF and all the band members went around saying, "We got gold!We got gold!" for the following weeks. :D
Sec Four 2006 Well, this year passed by rather quickly but there have been quite interesting events as well. Balloon hat, the 1st National Band Competition and jubilate. How I was wishing POP would arrive soon but when it actually arrived, I didn't want it to come.
I am quite glad that I didn't quit band in sec one.I remembered how we all sweared to be good and nicer to our juniors. And I can proudly say we did. :D Band has given me the truest friends I could have.
Anyway, POP was fun! Thanks to the section, especially the sec 3s for making our POP so memorable. :D Really felt like crying when I heard the concerto d'amore. And tequila was cute! :D I 'll miss the squad, the band pracs and especially the section: jingwen, jiaying, jacq, jessling, jessie, josie, ruijun and zhuer. Thanks for making life in band wonderful. Will come back to visit whenever I can.
Missing them already.

I have decided to reopen my blog for just this post. It was after all, our last competition and performance as SNSB. I am just glad that we managed to keep the gold. It was only borderline, but who cares? It is still a GOLD. The result this time was not as satisfying as SYF, probably because we didn't work as hard or feel as much for this. I am just glad that I am able to leave band happy and without letting ms sia down.

I have decided that I have too little self-restrain, watching television and surfing the Net when I know I should jolly well complete my homework. So, I am officially closing my blog until - who knows when. Probably for quite a while. There's still the television to tempt me but now that I have made the internet off-limits (sort of, i still need to visit epebble and stuff) for myself, it's a start. There isn't much to write on anyway, mostly just reporting on school, band and school. I need to start concentrating now.

Argh. I don't like basketball.
I sweat the most today. Firstly was the tiring game called basketball and then band prac. But band prac was fun though! I wouldn't mind marching around with our instrus for the rest of the band pracs. :D
